  El Nixie es un sistema para mostrar numeros, un tubo en el cual los numeros estan dibujados y van superpuestos, iluminandose el numero que se quiere mostrar; es bastante mas facil de leer que los segmentos de linea que se usaron despues pero mucho mas voluminoso y con un consumo de energia mucho mas alto. The Nixie was a syste to show numbers, a vacuum tube in which the numbers were pre-drawn and they are superimposed, the number that one wants to show is illuminated; it is much easy to read that the displays based on line segments but it is much bulkier and has a energy consumption that is much higher.   El famoso UNIVAC, computador que inspiro a Isaac Asimov a proponer que el MULTIVAC seria la culminacion de la tecnologia informatica, superando al hombre en capacidad intelectual ... y tambien moral. The famouse UNIVAC computer that inspired Isaac Asimov to propose the MULTIVAC, the pinacle of informatic technology, a computer able to be better than human in intellectual (and moral) terms.  HP48: esta es una calculadora programable de la decada del 70 y 80 que usaba mi papa, usa notacion polaca inversa para los numeros e incluye muchas funciones cientificas. HP48: this is a programmable calculator fro the 70s and 80s that my father uses, it uses reverse polish notation for numbers and includes many scientific functions.  Al lado derecho hay un lector de tarjetas y unas tarjetas magneticas que la calculadora podia leer y escribir, usualmente contenian bibliotecas de programas. El lenguaje de programacion era poco mas que un assembler con un poquito de azucar sintactico para expresar condiciones pero casi nada mas. On the right side there is a card reader and some magnetic cards that the calculator could read and write, usually they contained programming libraries. The programming language was little more than an assembler with a few syntactic sugar to express conditions but almost nothing else.  Consola de juegos Atari 2600. The famous game of Pong of Atari, that started the world of videgames with a kind of pingpong on the screen of a TV set, controlled by two potenciometers, one for each player.
